Did Jack show?

So, does anyone know if Jack White ever showed up to play at The End last night? Everybody knew about it….but no one was supposed to know….then supposedly Jack found out that the word was out….so another rumor started that he cancelled….but he was spotted there at soundcheck…. Thoughts?

Would have been pretty fucking cool if he did.

    He cancelled.

He also had the fans who leaked the secret thrown in jail.

  4. Mark P. Says:

Maybe he decided to get his hair done instead.

    Good one, Matt.

what happened was he walked in, looked at the soundsystem, and left. the funny thing is that the white stripes played there 4 or 5 years ago, and the soundsystem was even shittier. so go figure. pretentious asshole.

I agree with bored!! He’s a great showman. Their performance at Music Midtown last year was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time.

you are only a great showman if you play the show.

I showed up and the doorman said Jack found out that the word was out, and cancelled. But all the other bands still played.

he did indeed cancel. i waited there through the whole thing to make sure it was for real, too. i wasn’t too bummed because i love whirlwind heat, but the fever sounded too much like driveshaft for me to not fall asleep. they all everybody.

i thought this might be a good thread for me to finally make a post in.

Yeah, fuck that shit. Booking a show and then changing your mind the night of the show is for assholes. The Great Unraveling did that, booked a house show in Murfreesboro, showed up, looked around, and took off. Assholes.

Do you hear me Tonie Joy? Asshole!

  13. Chris Says:

Whoa!!1 I didn’t know my dad played in The Great Unraveling. He is an asshole, so it makes sense.
