Jason Salzer plays an energetic, commercial kind of singer-songwriter rock. He should be right at home in the cozy confines of The Sutler. He plays tonight at 8pm.

The Pink Spiders told us recently that they have been hanging out with some pretty cool artists in L.A., but we really weren’t prepared for this name: Justin Timberlake. The Spiders declined to comment when asked if he was choreographing their live show or just borrowing a belt.

Big Nurse, who currently have a full length vinyl record out entitled American Waste, test the limits of noise rock, and on first listen, bring to mind bands such as Swans. They headline a show at the Muse that also features - and let me take a big breath here - Ari Ari, Flock of Werewolves, Valencia, and Kingbosh. $5, 9 p.m.
