Monday, 6 February 2006Sigur Ros ContestZine contributor and WRVU DJ, Janet from Out The Other is holding a contest on her blog to give away two tickets to the Sigur Ros show at the Ryman. Check it out and listen to her show on Wednesdays from 9 to 10pm. Thursday, 12 January 2006Newest Contest!Have you ever dreamed of naming a band? Well, your dreams have come true! One lucky person will get the chance to name one of Nashville’s most promising up-coming bands… most beautiful bands… you know who I’m speaking of? Yes, you do! Because it’s former members of Imagine Asians! This Friday night, January 13th, a.k.a. Friday the 13th, these former members of said name, will be performing live… yes, in person… at the lovely venue, The End, with Popular Genius and Girls and Boys. What does that mean? Yes, the adorable Jim O’Shea will be there too! But, if that’s not exciting enough, former members of Imagine Asians will be announcing a… what?… yep! A new name for the once “cute” band. Here’s where you come in… We need you to decide what the new name should be. Ponder… vote… have your way with us! What happens if you win? The winner, depending on gender and orientation, wins a date with either the lovely guitar genius, Caldwell, or the sultry temptress of a bass player, Willa. Dig it? Friday, 30 December 2005Friday, 11 November 2005Friday Contest
Today’s contest question is (think about it): What should our Friday Contest be? You got ’til 5pm. Enter as many times as you like. Go. Friday, 4 November 2005Friday ContestSince the three or four of you who played last week had such an enjoyable time, we’re running another Friday contest. To get more people involved we’re offering something way cooler than a Darling Hearts EP.
And your challenge is: Tell us who (in a local band) should go solo and what that solo project should be like. You can name the solo project if you like, pick the style of music, whatever. You’ve got ’til 5pm. Enter as much as you like. |
