All your iPod are belong to Hollywood

Hollywood lobbyists are trying to take over all media you own, tomorrow! Check this out:

If this bill were to pass, government - and the entertainment industry - would control what you could do with digital media in your home. The broadcast flag would place TV shows in a DRM ghetto, where your right to copy, back-up, sell, time-shift or convert them into formats convenient to you would be at the whim of the broadcasters. The audio flag would give the FCC matching powers over “digital audio broadcasting,” including satellite radio, digital HD radio, and potentially even Internet radio. Fair use would be frozen into “customary historical use”.

The EFF has a form to write to your senator to oppose this outrageous bill. Tennessee doesn’t have a senator on the committee dealing with this. It’s still useful to support DMCA reform and the EFF has an easy way for you to write your senator for that.

Brand new Yacht Rock

Our favorite online show, Yacht Rock, has a new episode up. Actually it’s the Halloween episode, but it’s too damn funny not to share with the rest of you. Watch it and then let’s all summon the ghost of KOKO together!

The Rage

The Rage is Nashville’s weekly entertainment guide, published by the Tennessean. It’s the best place for rock coverage in the city. Totally indiscriminate, they cover Puddle of Mudd with the same verve as Super Furry Animals.

Bands interested in listing shows with them or getting reviewed should send CDs to:
