Supposedly, the new commercial for the CBS Wednesday night line-up uses “Blow it Out” by The Features as background music.

Did Jack show?

So, does anyone know if Jack White ever showed up to play at The End last night? Everybody knew about it….but no one was supposed to know….then supposedly Jack found out that the word was out….so another rumor started that he cancelled….but he was spotted there at soundcheck…. Thoughts?

This just off the email wire– Looks like Mufreesboro’s Ghostfinger will be truckin’ down to SXSW this year, with Matt Rowland sitting in on keys with Zomba record’s Living Things, Van Campbell “will be there for the debut of the newly streamlined Black Diamond Heavies” and “of course, Richie Kirkpatrick will be there as mystical sage/ sexual healer.”

Eye Candy

Becca Gillespie, photographer extraodinaire, was invited into the studio with Forget Cassettes as they recorded their second album, Salt. Her photographic documentation can be found on Flickr. Becca tells us that “it was really alot of fun to slink around and shove the camera in their faces while they worked.”

Becca also captured Apollo Up recording a follow up to their debut.

Stone Jack Jones Reviewed in Pitchfork

The brand new Stone Jack Jones record, bluefolk, is reviewed by Pitchfork and lands a respectable 7.9 on the Hipster Scale. Congrats to Fictitious Records and SJJ.
